Guest Blogging: How I Smartly Network with Successful Bloggers

There have been a lot of SEO professionals who are talking about guest blogging to show you the value of reaching out to other authoritative and informative blogs in your niche. However, I decided I would take this as a different angle in my article. The question is what makes your guest post stand out from others who use the same strategy ?

First thing first i.e. Find out the Right Place to blog

You have to be very smart and innovative when it comes to finding out the right place to write on. If you have limited time and resource, make sure you are choosing your battles well. I am assuming here that you have your finger well on the industry and know by now which blogs are most popular in your industry. Take help of tools like compete.com and Alexa.com to check the monthly unique visitors of those websites.

Contact the Right Person

Make sure you have done your homework well and contact the right person. In many blogs you will find a section which are for bloggers and their role related to the blog. It would be great if you can get in touch with the admin or the editor of the blog directly. Take help of a tool like domain-tools.com which will provide you a direct email address of the concerned person. Also, you can check if the blog has got the author’s profile section and check the name of the person who wrote the last post. With the help of this you can confirm the real name of the author of that site. It might happen that the last post was written by a guest blogger and not the editor of the blog.

Now days, many bloggers provide their social networking profiles in their site like facebook and twitter. Get hold of them through these social media websites. Trust me, it is the fastest way of reaching a person and send them a message requesting for a guest post. Another way is to do a google search for the email address. Simply pick the email address i.e. abc@wordpress.com for example and search it. I am sure you will be able to locate some information about the person.

Do Not Say Off Topic Things

Ok so you have found the concerned person to contact, so what do you talk about with them? You will find various bloggers who say that they allow guest posting but are very particular and selective as to who they allow to be a guest blogger. I recommend all of you from my own personal experience to write a well personalized email to the admin of the blog. Please do not forget to include these information in your email:

  • Do not use words like dear, yours faithfully, etc when you are talking to any blogger via email.
  • Always use their name at the beginning.
  • Praise about their blog and if possible about them too.
  • Give a brief introduction about yourself and what you do.
  • Give them samples of your previous articles.
  • Provide them with ideas and topics you would like to write for them.
  • If possible, include a guest post written well in advance, attach it and send them
  • Thank them for providing you an opportunity for writing and tell them you look forward to hearing back

Always remember that once you have sent the post to the admin, try to keep building a good rapport with him. This is best possible by following them on Facebook and Twitter. If you see they are not replying you back with the confirmation, send them a reminder after a week.

Submit Your Best Content

One of the major advantage of guest blogging is to make a name of yourself and helps in promotion of your websites and blogs or your product and services. Try to send an article that is well written, in-depth and should focus on the niche of the blog you are writing for. There is a possibility that you might get noticed by other great bloggers too if your content proves out to be unique and well written.

Do Not Forget to Optimize your Article

Take full advantages of the opportunities that guest blogging often brings:

Have a full control of the Anchor Text: Since you are the owner of the content so you have the full authority of linking to your website with anchor text of your choice. Make sure you find a relevant post on your blog or website that you can link to using the proper anchor text. This post should be the one you are trying to rank for in the search results.

Add a Nice Author Bio : In many blogs, you will find a section for author’s description. So utilize this section to tell the people who you are and what you do. You can add links to your websites and blogs there with a proper and desired anchor text. Also, add links of your social media profiles if possible. Make sure that you add a Gravatar so that people will be able to associate a face with your writing and blog.

Use Proper Formatting : Make sure you send your article with proper formatting. Many bloggers do not appreciate if the post is not well aligned and formatted. I  myself do not accept guest posts which are not properly formatted. If you are a new guest blogger keep in mind that first impression is the last impression. If the articles are well formatted, editors don’t have to spend too much time in adding images or headlines.

Promote Your Guest Post

You can easily get to know from the blogger when your post will be getting live. As soon as it is live start promoting your article on your social network profiles. This not only helps in gaining additional visibility for the post, but can drive new readers to the blog owners site easily.

Reply all the Comments on your Post

Just because you write a guest post for some blog or the other, that doesn’t mean your work is over. Blog owners often appreciate when the authors replies to the comments and engages themselves with the readers.

Relationship Building with the Blog Owner

Whenever you write a guest article for any blogger, do not write it just for the sake of getting a link. When you are working on an online marketing business, make sure you built a good rapport with the blog owners. Stay in touch with them through Facebook, Twitter and Linked-in. Below I have mentioned few tactics which can help you in building a relationship with them:

  • Ask them to be a guest writer for your blog/site
  • conduct online interviews with them and publish that in your site.
  • Follow up and check with whom they are connected with.

Let Me Trust You Forever

 

Everyday I am getting more afraid

Of giving my heart away

I don’t know what love will bring

I am afraid of hearing the words you say.

 

I find myself completely lost in you

Thought I am not sure I really want to be

I often remembers the looks you give

And wonder what exactly you see in me

 

I don’t want to live with a broken heart

Why am I so lost in love?

You call it a Religious Festival? Well, I call it a Cold Blooded Murder

It was in the year 2004, when Maneka Gandhi the MP of BJP had great powers when it came to Animal and human rights. She could have issued various animal rights statements or could have taken serious actions against the people slaughtering animals for the sake of blooded festival which we call as Bakri Eid in India or Bakr Eid in Pakistan. I cannot recall any such actions on her part and I am sure neither of you remember too.

Maybe I am sounding like a Heretic here (which I am not) but it is really not accepted that Maneka Gandhi is acting as a bigot ( a person who is devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices) and showing fake concerns for animal rights.

I really do not agree with a festival called Bakra Eid. No matter who ever celebrates it I will never appreciate Muslims with this. I am not saying this because I am not a Muslim or I don’t eat non-veg food. I do not appreciate a violent killing to be a reason of celebration for a religion. These people keep poor goats and cows as their pets for an year and then during this festival they kill and eat them in a name of a religious festival. They always teach their children to be loveless, hard and forces them to believe that violence and killing of animals is part of their religion.

I am not against this just because the flowing of blood all over the country causes great environmental damage, but because the founder of this religion, Prophet Mohammad, who was a vegetarian himself never taught Muslims to celebrate a festival in this fashion. I have read many quotes of Prophet Mohammad that are related to animal rights and it is really shocking that his followers today following a religion which defies itself by eat the meat.

Do you really think this is a religion? NO. It is not because Muslim religion at the time of Prophet Mohammad was not a violent religion. In the Quran there is nothing mentioned about the slaughtering of animals. It has become a social custom that has evolved in recent years and is been following differently in different countries.

Islam has always supported the welfare of the animal and man both. Do you know what are the instructions of Quran?

There is not an animal on earth, nor a bird that flies on its wings but they are communities like you.” (The Quran 6:38).

Prophet Mohammad was asked whether he would reward the kindness of animals in the life hereafter? and he replied :

“Yes, there is a meritorious reward for the kindness to every living creature” (Bukhari). On the sanctity of life, the Prophet admonished: “Avoid the seven abominations” and for one of these abominations he recited the following which is in the Quran, “And kill not a living creature, which Allah has made sacrosanct,except for a justifiable reason” (Al Tirmidhi and Al- Nasai) (The Quran 6:152 and 17:33). Surely a “festival for killing” is not a justifiable reason.”

Earlier Bakr Eid was celebrated only to show God’s reward to humans who had faith in him. But in today’s date Bakr Eid resembles a different story. Not only goats but other animals also being butchered mercilessly.  Bakr Eid is basically celebrated for sacrifice made by Prophet Mohammad which was then demanded by God for his son Ishmael to prove that he loved him more than anyone else. This story is not at all true because it is only taken from Christians which is based only on Biblical story of Abraham and his son.

 

If they really want to celebrate this festival then they should learn to follow the rules which are :

1.) As per Muslims goat was the son of Ibrahim so as per the rules they have to keep the same goat as their family members for at least 1 year

2.) The law has clearly stated in India that any animal that is supposed to be killed should be killed in a place meant for that purpose only that is Idgah and no where else.

3.) The term Bakri Eid festival is applicable to goats only and that is why Indian Government has allowed the festivals with goats. It should not be applied with the killing of other animals such as cows, buffaloes etc.

Any Actions been Taken? You kidding me, Right!!

Today, the Muslims violate all the above three rules and celebrate the festival of blood with happiness. Not a single Mullah taken an initiative of opening his mouth even though he is well aware of the laws. I have never seen any district authorities taking any actions against these people even when it is clearly seen camels, cows, goats start pouring to their home a week before. Several complaints are filed each year against them even weeks before but no body is willing to take any actions.

Not even any police nor the politicians takes any initiative to stop this cruel activity on animals. Entire year the animal rights act people keep on preaching but when it comes to this day they sit in their home watching the slaughtering game.

The day is not far when even more animals will be killed in the name of religious festivals like tigers, lions, deer etc.

“Love recognizes no barriers”, said Michelle Obama to Barack Obama during their first Date

It was summer of 1989 when Michelle Robinson told her mother that she would be taking law as a career and promised that she would not involve herself in dating. She was just 25 when she completed her first year as an associate at Sidley and Austin, a corporate law firm in Chicago. After couple of months, the firm assigned her an important task to mentor a summer associate whose name was Barak Obama.

Michelle was never prepossessed with his behavior. Lately she saw him in action and realized that there was something special in the guy and it was that time when she fell in love with tall dark handsome guy. People has drawn their love story as a black achievement, a triumph of tradition and a racial healing. From day one their story was a political love story.

It has been 20 years when they went on a date for the first time to watch Spike Lee’s movie “Do the Right Thing”. Their romance continued to flower in bad as well as good times and they always supported each other even when Michelle’s father expired in 1990. It was 1992 when Michelle got married to Obama. She supported her husband throughout the campaign of presidentship and kept a perfect balance between her work and her relationship with her husband.

The Obamas always found comfort with each other which continued their History making path way to While House. No doubt Michelle became skeptic about her husband’s choice and she became one of the most ardent supports of Barack Obama.

It was in 2008, when Barack Obama became the first black candidate to get nomimated for presidentialship. Michelle Obama always had impeccable sense of style that was always compared with former first lady Jackie Kennedy. Our first priority will always be to make sure that our girls are healthy and grounded,” Michelle and Obama said. “I want to help other families so that they get the support they need, not just to survive, but to thrive”, he added in an interview with huffingtonpost.
